I started selling products in January 2021 in Facebook Market as my side hustle while I was working as a call center agent. My first sold item was a universal aircon remote. There was this time in my life when I bought an aircon with no remote. I have to stand up and manually change the temperature if I want to. I decided to purchase a universal aircon remote with no prior knowledge of how to set it up with my aircon. After doing trial and error with the remote codes, I was able to have the remote work with my aircon. This is where the thought on my mind came "What if I sell universal remotes and I will personally set it up for the customer for convenience?" I purchased 20 pieces of universal aircon remote and listed them on Facebook Market. I was able to get a few inquiries and make transactions with different customers.
But starting in February 2024, I am no longer receiving inquiries. I started to think "Why? What changed? Is it because I already have a lot of competitors in the Facebook market? Was my listing description not visible enough for different customers? This dilemma led me to ask myself "What else I can do for my listings to be visible to more people? I then asked myself "Why don't I start my own website where I can freely post my products/services?"
I started upskilling myself, learning basic website creation and other stuff. My ideal website is I want it to be fast, and responsive and I want all my products to be on one website. That's where our shop name from, InOneShop. I'm still learning and you might still find my website not that good but I won't stop improving my site until it becomes popular and I'll make sure to only post products that are affordable.
